Elmer R. Davis, 88, of Jasper died Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at
Princeton Baptist Medical Center. Funeral arrangements will be announced later
by Kilgore Green Funeral Home.

Lila Rose Kizzire, 85, of Jasper passed away Sunday, July 19,
2009, at Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham. Graveside services will
be at 3 p.m. today, July 22, in the Kelly Cemetery in Eldridge. Bill Herron will
officiate. Visitation will be from 1 until 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Ralph Thomas, 81,
of Sumiton
Ralph Thomas, 81, of Sumiton died Monday, July
20, 2009, at Princeton Baptist Medical Center. Funeral services
will be at 1p.m. on Thursday, July 23, at New Horizon Memorial
Funeral Home with burial to follow at New Horizon Memorial
Gardens. The Rev. James Aycox and the Rev. Brandon Dill will
officiate. Visitation is from 6 until 8 p.m. today at the
funeral home.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and was retired from Pittsburgh
Des Moines Steel Co. He was a life long resident of Sumition,
where he and his wife, Ruth, owned and operated Parkway Floral.
He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Pastor Ricky
Peterson; brother, Gene Thomas and sister, Geraldine Wiley.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ruth Thomas of Sumiton;
daughter, Joyce Peterson of Sumiton, granddaughter, Katina
Burton of Dora; great-grandchildren, Josh and Emily Burton;
sister, Billie Sue Robinson and brothers, Jimmy and Johnny
Bennett.
